In the heart of Martinsburg, there is a new fusion restaurant that is taking the city by storm.  Curry Fiesta is a very unique experience, blending Mexican and Indian flavors to create a cuisine you may have never thought of, but definitely need to check out now.  This spot is serving up quick service meals Chipotle style, but the flavors and options are unmatched.  You can get burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and other Mexican dishes with an Indian twist, and you can also get their multiple Sabji (Indian dishes) with some Mexican fusion.  If you are looking for something new and adventurous, I would highly recommend Curry Fiesta.

This is one of the most vibrant and colorful restaurants I have ever been in.  While many Mexicans are themed so well, having the bright vibrancy of a Mexican restaurant mixed with Bollywood movies on the tv give the restaurant its namesake – it truly is a fiesta when you step into Curry Fiesta.  The whole restaurant is very clean, and the staff is super friendly.  There is an ample amount of seating as well.

Let’s get down to the dishes we were able to sample:

Beef Burrito – this burrito came jam packed with seasoned ground beef, cilantro rice, black beans, corn salsa, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and thai chili sauce.  I love that you can create your own burrito concoction, and this one was a symphony of flavor.

Chips and Queso – the queso is so smooth and actually packs a bit of a spicy punch.  The chips are fried perfectly, and they aren’t too salty or citrusy.

Steak Quesadilla – this steak was marinated beautifully and cooked to order on the grill.  Combine in the melty cheese and sour cream and this is a decadent dish.

Samosa Chaat – samosas are absolutely bursting with fragrant flavor if done right, and these are definitely done right.  I love the flavor and moderate hint of spice.  Served with green chutney and ketchup for dipping, this is my favorite Indian appetizer of all time.

Queso Curly Fries – you get a mountain of fries if you order this, covered in queso and any additional toppings you are interested in.  We got ground beef, cheese, and pico, and it was drenched in their creamy queso.  Yet another flavor explosion.

Chicken Tikka Masala – we tried one of their Sabja, the classic chicken tikka, and it was fantastic.  Again, the aromatic and mildly spicy flavors hit so hard for me.  I loved the addition of green peppers and onions on this dish.

Bone-In Wings – some of the best wings in the game, these are fried to perfection and sauced to the max.  We got the sweet chili flavor, and it was fantastic.  These wings are a must order.

I’m so happy that we have a spot like Curry Fiesta in our area.  I do realize that you need to like both Indian and Mexican flavors to like this spot, but even if you are on the fence about it, I would highly recommend trying them out.
