As a frequent visitor of New York City, I know a thing or two about amazing breakfast sandwiches.  While I love this area much more than the big city, I have been lamenting that there aren’t many options for NYC-style breakfast sandwiches here.  Well, one of our Foodies team members had mentioned that they got an amazing breakfast sandwich from Knead Bread, located in downtown Winchester on Piccadilly Street, so I had to swing by and try it out.  And I am so glad I did, because I have a new favorite spot to get breakfast sandwiches.

I absolutely LOVE when a place allows you to customize your food to your preferences.  At Knead Bread, you can build your own breakfast sandwich for $10, which is an incredible value.  There are five different bread options, multiple cheese and protein options, and then plenty of additional add-ons, including veggies and sauces.  This method allows you to craft the perfect breakfast sandwich for how you are feeling that day.  They have a ton of baked goods for sale as well, and a lunch menu that includes sandwiches and flatbreads.

Knead is such a cute bakery.  They have chalkboard menus, plenty of displayed baked goods throughout, and eclectic decor.  The staff is so friendly.  There are a handful of spots to eat inside, and they have a couple outdoor tables as well.  All in all, Knead Bread is a great place to grab a delicious sandwich, coffee, or pastry and hang out for a while.

I do not say this lightly, but this is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had outside of New York City.  I was blown away with how fresh and flavorful the ingredients were.  I opted for the ciabatta roll with eggs, bacon, cream cheese, onions, tomato, and mayonnaise.  This was an elite combination, as cream cheese mixes so well with the warm bacon and roll.  The veggies were so fresh, and the mayo tied all of the ingredients together perfectly.

Robbie ended up getting her sandwich on fresh sourdough bread, with the same scrambled eggs, cream cheese, and bacon.  She opted for no additional toppings.  In addition, we also both ordered a coffee.  She got a traditional hot coffee, and I got an iced coffee.  My coffee is light and refreshing, and paired so nicely with my breakfast sandwich.

I officially have a new favorite breakfast spot in Winchester.  If I need an amazing, homemade breakfast sandwich, I’m going to Knead Bread every time.  I cannot wait to go back and try a different flavor combination.  If you are looking for a delicious breakfast sandwich that won’t break the bank, take a trip to downtown Winchester and hit up Knead Bread tomorrow morning!
