Our next stop on our culinary tour of Berkeley Springs took us to Cacapon Mountain Brewing, located on Williams St. in the heart of downtown Berkeley Springs.  This brewery offers a ton of beers (on tap and canned), wines, and ciders.  In addition, they have a kitchen pumping out classic brewery fare, such as hot dogs, nachos, smash burgers, and other handhelds.  This is a super cozy place to grab a drink, grab a quick bite, and take in the views of Berkeley Springs.

Price 💲💲out of 5

Cacapon Mountain Brewing does a great job of offering lots of different alcoholic beverages, and they provide various sizes at different prices.  Nothing is outrageous – on the contrary, the prices are very reasonable.  The food menu is small, but nothing breaks the bank.  The most something will run you is about $15.

This spot is extremely chill and seems like a great place to get a cold brew and relax.  I wouldn’t necessarily say this is the type of place to go watch a game, but it is the perfect lazy summer Sunday spot to just kick back and take things slow.  The place is huge (fun fact, it used to be a sock factory), so there is plenty of room to have quiet conversations.  The bar is plenty big, and they have a massive outdoor area with picnic tables and cornhole.

We got to try a handful of entrees from their kitchen.  They included:

Chips and Guacamole – this guac is made fresh in house, and it has plenty of smooth, creamy avocado, tart onions, and they use the right amount of cilantro.  This may turn some people off, but you can tell that this is traditional guacamole made the right way.

Personal Pan Double Decker Nachos – we got these nachos loaded with shredded pork, Cuban black beans, and avocado.  Even if you add on all the toppings, the most it is going to cost is $16, and with how huge the portion is, this is a perfect starting dish.  I would have preferred queso compared to shredded cheese, as I do feel this can make the nachos clump together.  But these were still packed with flavor and could fill up the entire table.

Cheeseburger Smashburger – these two patties were crispy and flavored to perfection.  I love when smashburgers are actually smashburgers and are extremely thin and crispy.  The fresh veggies and the garlic aioli paired so well with the patties.

Cacapon Chicken Club – grilled chicken sandwiches are usually at the bottom of my list of menu options because they are always so dry, but this sandwich was stupid moist.  Adding the bacon and cheese to the fresh veggies and garlic aioli made this sandwich so flavorful and bursting with flavor.

Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

I kind of felt like our trip to Cacapon Mountain Brewing didn’t do the place justice, as we did not have time to just hang out and vibe inside and outside the brewery.  I am very much looking forward to taking a weekend day and heading here to sip on a cold brew and get a smashburger or some more nachos.  If you are looking for a place that will allow you to slow down, enjoy some beer on tap and a quick bite, and just vibe out, Cacapon Mountain Brewing is the place for you in Berkeley Springs.
