Tried some tasty items, what I thought were exotic dishes, and of course… sushi, sushi, sushi!
If you’re a fellow sushi lover, enjoy Asian cuisine, or just love trying new foods, do I have the place for you! Don’t waste a second, go check out Izakaya Nana. They have two locations: one in Chantilly, VA, and one in Flushing, NY!

Price 💲💲💲💲💲 out of 5
I won’t sugarcoat it, our bill was definitely a pretty penny. In its defense, we wanted to try everything because all of their options sounded mouthwatering.
Best advice: be prepared to spend a bit, or go with a group and have everyone order something different! The food was absolutely worth the price, so fresh and delicious.

Ambience 🧑🍳🧑🍳🧑🍳🧑🍳 out of 5
If you’re an anime fan, this is your sign to visit. From the art wall to the collectibles and even the music, it creates such a fun and immersive atmosphere.
It’s gorgeous inside, very inviting, and the staff was welcoming and kind, even when they seemed busy. I was also lucky enough to celebrate my birthday there, and they surprised me with a birthday dessert, which was amazing!
Drinks 🍷🍷🍷 out of 5
There are plenty of drink options to choose from. We only tried a couple, but I’d recommend stepping outside your comfort zone, maybe even trying a sake flight! Just be careful… I’ve heard it sneaks up on you.

A Classic Beer
Sometimes it’s better to play it safe. You can never go wrong with a simple beer!

Kyoto Matcha IPA
If you’re a matcha fan, why not switch it up with a little tang? My fiancé ordered this and really enjoyed it, he finished the whole thing.

Coke
Not alcohol, I know, but I thought it was cute! I loved their logo on the cup. It’s the small details that make a difference.
Food 🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬 out of 5
THE FOOD WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD!
I would happily break the bank, it was that good. From appetizers to entrées to desserts, this place has it all!

Yakitori Platter
This included Butabara (pork belly), Negima (chicken thigh with leek), Tebasaki (chicken wings), and zucchini.
Not exactly in my lane since it’s meat, but my fiancé loved it, he ordered it twice! I will say, the zucchini skewer was delightful: well-seasoned, soft, and served sizzling hot.

Berkshire Pork Sausage
I was told this was delicious! They loved that it was bite-sized, and being on a skewer made it easy to share.

Gyu Harami (Beef Skirt) & Baby Scallops
I was told both were very flavorful. The scallops were tender (not chewy), and the beef was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Chawanmushi
I didn’t try this one. It definitely looked unique, starting off more like a soup, but eventually turning into a flan-like texture. My friend enjoyed it, so it might be worth trying!

Brussels Sprouts Tempura
We opted to have them not fried, and let me tell you, they were wonderful! Full of flavor, well-seasoned, and easy to eat.

Gyoza (Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings)
My friend loves dumplings, and she really enjoyed these! They were the perfect size and had just the right amount of filling.

Chicken Yakisoba
Both my fiancé and our friend ordered this, and both finished it quickly! It had a great blend of flavors, and the glaze on the chicken was the perfect finishing touch.

Impossible Unadon (Grilled Eel Rice Bowl)
As the name suggests, this plate was HUGE! I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to try it because it seemed out there. But the best way I can describe it is that it tasted similar to tilapia, and I enjoyed every bite.
There was even an egg hidden underneath, which was a nice surprise! The glaze on the eel added great flavor and kept everything from being dry.
Sushi Time!!!!!!

Miso Salmon Roll
This included salmon and avocado inside, topped with seared salmon, cream cheese, and miso sauce.
You already know…. I LOVED IT! I love sushi in general, but these were so fresh they were practically falling apart when I picked them up with my chopsticks.

Godzilla Roll
A deep-fried roll with eel, avocado, and cream cheese inside, topped with fried onion and eel sauce.
BOMB! ABSOLUTELY BOMB. Easily one of my new favorites!

Mango Tango Roll
This included shrimp tempura and avocado inside, topped with lobster salad and mango with eel and mango sauce.
My friend ordered this and devoured it! I’m not a mango fan, so I didn’t try it, but based on how fast it disappeared, it must’ve been amazing.

Matcha Ice Cream
Even though I was completely full, I was so happy to get a birthday dessert!
This included matcha ice cream in waffle cones with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle. I had never tried matcha ice cream before, but this definitely won’t be my last time. It was delicious and didn’t have the bitter aftertaste I expected. The combo with whipped cream and the waffle cone was the perfect ending.
Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5
A wonderful experience overall!
I truly believe your experience is shaped by the people you’re with, or the energy you bring. I went in already excited because I had been there before, and it was just as good the second time. I even brought friends along so they could experience it too!
If you haven’t already, go check it out, and bring a friend or two to share some unforgettable food and memories.
