Nothing beats a sweet, cold treat, especially as the weather warms up. At Rice Culture, they not only serve refreshing soft-serve ice cream, but also delicious taiyaki (a fish-shaped cake similar to a waffle or pancake). They have two locations: one in Chantilly, VA, and one in Vienna, VA.

ADORABLE! The aesthetic inside is super cutesy, and the desserts match perfectly. The warm, welcoming colors create a fun environment, and they even offer board games for customers to enjoy while eating. They also have drinks available!
There were also cute plushies on display, I’m not sure if they’re for sale, but it’s definitely worth checking out!

Oreo-Filled Taiyaki
They offer a variety of fillings, or you can go without filling and enjoy it like a plain waffle or pancake. I chose the Oreo filling, and it was really good!
Biscoff Banoffee Cheesecake
This was one of their jar desserts, and I really enjoyed it! It included layers of silky vanilla cheesecake, rich Biscoff cookie butter sauce, fresh bananas, and crunchy Biscoff cookie crumbles.
The bananas added a nice freshness and helped balance the sweetness, while the Biscoff gave it that perfect graham cracker “crust” feel.
Nutella Monster
This dessert featured a mix of chocolate hazelnut and cookies and cream, including Oreo cookies, cream, and Nutella.
I’m not usually a chocolate fan, but my friend ordered this and loved it, definitely a “chocolate lover’s dream,” just like the menu says! It also looked really cool… like the little fish was enjoying it too!
