If you haven’t been to Gourmet Goddess, what are you doing with your life?! I know for a fact this isn’t the first time we’ve written about it, but in case you missed it, I gotchu, featuring an update too! Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegan lads and ladies, this bakery is not one to miss!

Y’all, delicious, fresh, homemade baked goods for DIRT CHEAP!!! I mean come on!!!!! Literally, as soon as you walk in you’re hit with an intensely tasty smell, PLUS my aunt and I were lucky to have come when the baker was making a marble cake order!

I loveeeee marble cake, and so does my better half. Our wedding cake is actually going to be marble, and our cupcakes will be other flavors, but just about everyone in our family, including my soon-to-be husband, is lactose, and his sister has a gluten allergy, so we lucked out to find a vegan bakery we both truly enjoy!

The staff: 10/10 service! All the ladies were so kind and patient with us! There were so many options, I couldn’t choose! Plus, funny too, one of the bakers said, “Everything in this shop is gluten-free except me because I am full of it.” I thought that was so cute; if you go, I hope you get to experience their kindness in the flesh! The only thing too sweet in that shop is the women who work there! See what I did there.… hopefully that made you smile!

As far as the shop itself, I thought it was cute, but overstimulating for me personally. I mean, on the right side you have a buttload of options, which already stresses me out, and cool undertone colors, which helped, but then you turn left and it’s the opposite, bright colors. Now I am a pink girly, so I was fine after a minute or two.

Now if you haven’t been to Pop Pop Soda Shop, once again, what are you doing with your life, hahaha, and secondly, it is so retro and pink and has such a killer vibe! I love it; they have music playing, the service is great, drinks are great, they have a photobooth area, overall a fun girl’s girl place!

Food 🍩🍩🍩🍩 out of 5
I loved how they separated all the items that contained dairy in a small fridge so you know exactly where to find it, or what to avoid. They also have ready-to-go pizza dinners pre-made at your disposal. We didn’t get one this go-around, but I will definitely be back so I can try it then!

Chocolate Cheesecake (contains dairy)
My aunt ordered this. I am not a chocolate girl, but I love cheesecake, so I had to take a nibble of it! It was good, creamy, not too rich, but too chocolatey for me, but my aunt liked it! I knew I should have gotten the caramel cheesecake, being a caramel fan, next time for sure.

Oh my lanta, and did you see those tarts in the picture I put in the Ambience section? They looked gorgeous, and I am sure they taste heavenly. They’re on my list to try too; I might even slide into Thanksgiving with one, looking like a little baker. Hey, I’ll tell them I didn’t bake it.… next Thanksgiving.

Now I know what you’re thinking, “You don’t like chocolate, and yet you still ordered it.” Yes, Susan, I did, but in my defense, it was an Oreo donut, why resist that! I actually bought this for my fiancé. Most of these treats were for him since he is lactose; I was excited to find a goodie shop of things he can actually have!

He actually loved it, and so did I! Despite the chocolate base. We listened to the baker and warmed ours for about 15 seconds, 30 if you kept it in the fridge. The icing wasn’t overly sweet to us, and the base part of the donut was soft, moist, and cake-like, which we really liked!

Cinnamon Sugar Donut (vegan)
You guys, I will say I was so disappointed in this one! The baker said, “It tastes just like a churro.” I don’t know where she gets her churros from, but to say it politely, IT DID NOT! It was dry, pretty much flavorless, still cakey, but it was not hitting. We only managed a couple of bites.

My suggestion: maybe dip it in a glaze, then add the cinnamon sugar on top, giving it more flavor and moisture!

Chocolate Chip Cookie
A solid and safe choice if you have reservations about trying vegan delicacies! I loved how it wasn’t chalky, was soft, and had a nice taste to it. Zman liked it too, and if you know my fiancé, he can be picky, to put it kindly.… mi amor, if you read this, know I love you, hahaha!

Wild Strawberry Herbal Tea (added boba)
Made of: hibiscus petals, rose hips, red raspberry leaf, dried apple, and dried strawberries

This was my aunt’s drink, and it looked lovely! She liked it! I tried it too, and it was refreshing! Her tapioca wasn’t the traditional slimy gummy texture, but the popping boba! For those who do not know, popping boba are liquid-filled (in this case strawberry-flavored) bubbles that burst in your mouth! Pretty good!

Witch Please (summerween edition)
Made of: witch’s brew, plus caramel drizzle, coconut, green apple, and coconut creamer

Oooouuuu weeeeee, this drink is not for the weak!! With the first sip, my jaw popped like it was fighting for its life! But the flavor, oh man, it was bomb! I loved it so, so, so much! The sweet and sour combo combined with the caffeine and carbonation of the drink was perfect! I am not a spooky season fan, but while this is out, best believe I will be getting it almost every time! Try it, if you dare!

This was such a great stop! I am so glad Gourmet Goddess and Pop Pop Soda joined forces to give us flavors I didn’t know I needed! There are still so many things I want to try, like the tarts, the cinnamon rolls, and the pizza, but also their popcorn, and more flavors of goodies like the strawberry donut, since strawberry things are my favorite! Please don’t deprive yourself and go try them out; hope to see you there!
