Country Cafe: Do You Gnome About This Spot?!

If you’ve been to Country Cafe, then you get the corny joke; if you haven’t…. YOU NEED TO! This is probably one of my new favorite breakfast spots, and I don’t say that lightly!!!

A person holds an open restaurant menu displaying breakfast items and drinks at a dining establishment.

The prices are more than fair for that traditional homemade-style breakfast. We got a buttload of things, and it only came down to around $35, and it left us rolling out of there!

Ambience 🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳 out of 5
Now, I like a whimsical vibe, but this was too much even for me! I mean, with every turn, there was a gnome in sight! Being of Latina culture, we know all about “los duendes.” To make a long story short, they’re basically mischievous goblin-like creatures that cause chaos/damage and come for your children!

Other than that… it was giving your typical diner vibe, right down to the big creepy-looking hotdog guy. I only wish I tried the pie! Parking sucks due to it being street parking, and the inside was small to me. If you have no problem being elbow-to-elbow with strangers at the table almost connected to yours, you should be fine!

Regardless of everything I just told you, you must go for the food! Despite the challenges, it is worth it, trust!

Hearty Breakfast
This consisted of: 2 eggs, 2 sausages or 3 bacon strips, home fries, and toast

My aunt got this, and she opted for adding cheese on her eggs, the bacon strips, and wheat toast. She loved this, and the main reason was those home fries. Cooked crispy on the outside with a soft center and perfectly seasoned. I was lucky enough to have some of hers, and boy am I glad I did! Definitely recommend adding these to whatever you get!

Country Breakfast
This consisted of: 3 fluffy pancakes, 1 egg, 2 sausages or 3 bacon strips

This one was mine, and I had to have the chocolate-chip pancakes, but THREE! You can see how large these were! I gave one to my aunt, which stuffed her to the point she couldn’t even eat her toast. You already know I don’t eat meat, so our waitress was kind enough to let me choose three eggs instead. I had to get my protein somehow, hahaha.

We truly loved this spot, so thank you for the recommendation! I 100% will be coming back for their breakfast, but I also want to try their lunch. I saw on the menu that there were sweet potato fries, my favorite!!!!!
