The Foodies team was invited out to do a content day in Berkeley Springs, and one of the spots we were able to hit up was Creekside Provisions + Supplies on Congress St. behind the library. This is such an eclectic and interesting building, with some light fare and plenty of other interesting household items and antiques for sale. The vibes were great here, as we couldn’t help but have a huge smile on our faces the entire time as we interacted with the staff and the customers.

The food prices were extremely reasonable, with no item breaking the bank. Most of their drinks were only a few dollars, while their salads and sandwiches were between $10 and $16. They also have a ton of pizza options and other small items, in that $12-$15 range. There are a ton of other items for purchase, including kitchen tools and appliances, ice cream sandwiches, specialty drinks, and other odds and ends.

Creekside is such a fun place to check out. It is high energy, and there are a plethora of interesting items to look at. The owners and staff are so friendly, and the vibes were extremely high during our entire visit. To add the cherry on top, they actually have an apartment above the store that can be rented out as an AirBnB. We were lucky enough to get a tour of this space and it would be such an awesome place to stay to enjoy the downtown vibes of Berkeley Springs.

Let’s take a look at everything we go to sample:
Pepperoni Neapolitan Pizza – all of their pizzas come Neapolitan style, which means the crust was airy but had a very crispy edge. They add a couple dollops of sauce, and very thin layer of cheese, and thick cut pepperoni to get the perfect consistency. A bed of locally sourced micro greens finishes off this incredible personal-sized pie.
Chicken Salad Sandwich – served on a flaky, buttery crust, this sandwich is stuffed with homemade chicken salad and fresh veggies. The chicken salad is so light and refreshing.
Basil Pesto Artichoke Pasta Salad – served as a side or as its own dish, this pasta salad was so crisp and refreshing. The basil pesto was nutty, and the artichoke hearts added a nice earthy tone.
Pepperoni Rolls – we were able to try the regular pepperoni roll, as well as the Calabrian chili pepperoni roll. Fun fact, the very first pepperoni roll was created by an Italian immigrant from Calabria, so they were always intended to have a spicy version. Both of these rolls are quintessential West Virginia, a food and state that are synonymous with each other.
Millionaire Bar aka Australian Caramel Slices – this homemade dessert has layers of caramel, chocolate, and sea salt. I am not a fan of the salty sweet combo, so this wasn’t my favorite dessert, but I can appreciate the quality ingredients that go in to making every one of these bars.

Creekside Provisions + Supplies is a staple in the Berkeley Springs area, and one trip in will show you why. They not only have small bites to order, but they also have so many cool items for purchase. In addition, by offering an AirBnB above the store, they provide the community and out-of-towners alike an option for a safe, beautiful, and clean space to stay downtown.
