If there is one thing I learned from Dean Winchester it is: ALWAYS GET THE PIE! If you know, you know! Even if you don’t know, if you go to a diner and don’t try the pie, then why even go?!

Price ๐ฒ๐ฒ out of 5
My aunt and I did share everything, but it only came down to $15, which is not bad at all for two people! And we were pretty stuffed leaving there!

Ambience ๐งโ๐ณ๐งโ๐ณ๐งโ๐ณ out of 5
If the floors aren’t sticky, I don’t want to go! When I think of a diner, of course I am thinking of your classic movie-style diners, like in Grease, and any Supernatural episode. This place was close for sure, which made me happy, from the bar stools to questionably “nice” art pieces. I mean, how many places do you know still have a newspaper for you to browse while waiting for your meal!
A few modern decorations, like what seemed like endless collectibles; the TVs were not only playing game shows, but also music videos. And our waitress was very kind to us, so shoutout to her!
Drama Alert: Listen up, you may want to over-tip. I know we are in some expensive times, but when my aunt and I were there, there was a group of youngsters, and I do not know all the details, but from what I got from it, the staff felt underpaid and probably underappreciated. I can see how frustrating it is to wait on a large table and not get enough of a tip, but nowadays people aren’t too keen on tipping largely due to trying to survive in this economy. Plus, maybe the kids don’t understand how much to leave; I still don’t!!!

Sure, this wasn’t gourmet, but still a solid breakfast spot! The environment was nostalgic, the food was made right in front of us, and reminded me of Sunday breakfasts at home growing up!

Veggie Omelet (w/toast)
What was in the omelet: green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes
Most people love omelets, and I am no exception! This was good, a light protein mixed with tons of veggies. I added some hot sauce for that heat and extra flavor! I enjoyed it.
It comes with your choice of toast; we opted for wheat. They put a little helping of butter, and I had mine with some grape jelly, 10/10!

Lemon Custard Pie
This was surprisingly not overly lemony! I really liked it, and am finding myself to be a pie girl now! The crust with the custard was so good, and it had this marshmallow topping on it. I thought it was whipped cream, but sadly no. Separately, I was not a fan of it, but everything together wasn’t bad.
Experience โญโญโญโญ out of 5
I will say this experience can be humbling to some, and a whole generational shock to children nowadays! And I know paper plates and plastic silverware are not something I would suggest they keep using, but like us, they are trying to survive the economy. All that matters is the flavors of the food! Considering how close this is to me, I will be coming back to try all the pies Grandma has to offer, ESPECIALLY in these upcoming holiday seasons!
