Games, fun, and placing bets can really take it out of you, and you need fuel to keep going!

So you’re not missing out, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races has some tasty options to choose from and can accommodate our veggie palettes if you’re craving more than just a salad. I ate in the Sportsbook section, and my experience was large, to say the least, and I’m not talking about the jumbotrons!

Price 💲💲💲 out of 5

The prices weren’t too bad, your typical “eating out” pricing. There weren’t many strictly vegetarian options, but for my pescetarian friends, you would definitely love it!

Ambience 🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳 out of 5

I had the pleasure of going during March Madness, so the crowd around me was a ton of fun! There’s nothing like seeing opposing sides sitting close together, hearing the cheers and groans of wins and losses, and listening to people give coaching commentary as if the players can actually hear them.

As for the staff, our waitress was phenomenal. The customer service was on point, she treated us with so much kindness and was very understanding when I needed to make my meal veggie-friendly. It honestly felt like I was talking to a friend!

Drinks 🍷🍷🍷 out of 5

Now remember, I’m not the one to ask, “What’s a good drink?” I even had to ask the waitress myself.

THE 19TH HOLE

This drink was made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, raspberry iced tea, and house-made lemonade.

I was a little hesitant to try this at first since I’m not a fan of tea, but the waitress assured me everything was blended well enough that I wouldn’t even notice. And she was right, it was delicious and went down smoothly!

Food 🥬🥬🥬 out of 5

Food talk time…

A few personal preferences incoming, but overall, everything was very, very tasty!

BOOM BOOM SHRIMP

This included popcorn shrimp, scallions, and boom boom sauce.

This one goes out to my pescatarians, I definitely recommend trying the Boom Boom Shrimp. They were BOMB (pun intended). I do wish they were a bit bigger and had more sauce, but I still really enjoyed them!

Overtime Fries (March Madness Special)

These included truffle oil, grated parmesan cheese, balsamic glaze, and roasted garlic aioli.

One word… OBSESSED!
I cannot explain how much I enjoyed these. I’m so glad I got to try them, hopefully they add them to the permanent menu instead of keeping them as just a special. Safe to say, this was my favorite item of the day!

THE CALI BURRITO

Normally, this includes seasoned chicken breast, cheddar jack cheese, fries, guacamole, black bean salsa, Cajun aioli, all wrapped in a flour tortilla.

I ordered mine without chicken, of course, and added tomatoes and lettuce, because the more veggies, the better! I also swapped my regular fries for sweet potato fries, which in my opinion are always the better choice.

This was delicious! I added hot sauce, which complemented the dish perfectly and helped balance the natural dryness of a Cali burrito. The avocado also helped, and overall, the combination of flavors blended really well together.

DONUT ICE CREAM SANDWICH

What’s a full-course meal without dessert?

This included fresh fried sugar donuts, seasonal ice cream, and seasonal toppings.

Right off the bat, this looked amazing, and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint! The presentation alone was satisfying. The seasonal ice cream tasted like salted caramel (one of my favorites), and the waitress even added a chocolate and caramel drizzle. A perfect way to end the meal!

Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

A fun time for sure!

My experience was memorable, to say the least. Honestly, I don’t know if it was because of March Madness or just the overall casino atmosphere, but I will definitely be visiting again!
